The logo embodies an overarching theme of the BORN HIV FREE campaign that both mothers and children need access to services for prevention and treatment of HIV. The BORN HIV FREE logo builds on the visual imagery of the red ribbon, the internationally recognized symbol for AIDS awareness. The red ribbon has been long associated with solidarity, passion, love and support in the fight against AIDS. The designers worked with this established symbol of the global AIDS movement to depict vulnerable mothers and children in need and the vital importance of supporting them.”
